Saratoga Sheriff: Clifton Park man faces burglary, larceny counts after key, car thefts

CLIFTON PARK – A Clifton Park man illegally entered a home’s attached garage to steal car keys and then the car, Saratoga County Sheriff’s officials said.

Scott M. Derocher, 47, of Cider Mill Drive, was arrested Friday and charged with second-degree burglary and third-degree grand larceny, felonies.

Derocher is accused of entering the attached garage early Friday morning to take the keys and car. He then drove off with the car, but was located a short time later by police, sheriff’s officials said.

Derocher was arraigned and ordered held without bail. He is to return to court later.
