High schools: Graber lifts Schalmont girls’ basketball past Albany Academy

Payton Graber scored 23 points in Schalmont’s 64-52 Colonial Council girls’ basketball win Tuesday against Albany Academy. Karissa Antoine added 16 points in the victory.

Ange Giuliano led a quintet in double figures as Catholic Central ran past Mohonasen, 85-30. Giuliano had 15, followed by Brenna Graber with 13, Sarah Boucher and Raegan McGowan with 12 apiece, and Sarah Mattfeld with 10. Isabella Petrocci had 10 to pace the Mighty Warriors.

Julie Lehoe made six 3-pointers on her way to scoring a game-high 22 points in Schoharie’s 64-29 Western Athletic Conference win against Mekeel Christian Academy. Chloe Towle added 10 points in the win.

Molly O’Reilly had 22 points in Saratoga Central Catholic’s 50-33 non-league win against Corinth.

Mohonasen boys’ basketball scored a 67-50 Colonial Council victory against Catholic Central. Tyler Reinke had 14 points to lead Mohonasen, while Nicklaus Iuliano added 13.

Dakhari Scheuerman had a game-high 22 points in Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk’s 55-48 win against Cobleskill-Richmondville.

Voorheesville defeated Cohoes 70-61 despite Royal Brown’s 36 points.

In a matchup of Western Athletic Conference foes, Robert Jordan had 21 points and Levi Thomas added 19 in Fort Plain’s 77-42 win against OESJ. Owen Feagles scored 14 points to lead OESJ.

Al Barnhill scored a team-high 16 points in Mekeel Christian Academy’s 71-30 win against Schoharie.

In non-league play, Robbie Bolen scored 13 points in Saratoga Central Catholic’s 52-34 win against Corinth, in which Saratoga Central Catholic’s defense held Corinth to nine points after halftime.

TJ Kelly scored 29 points, while Jake Houle had 19 points and 12 rebounds in Waterford-Halfmoon’s 63-47 win against Galway.

Albany Academy won 66-37 against Schalmont. Marcus Jackson led Albany Academy with 29 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists.

In Capital District High School Hockey League play, CBA won 8-3 against Albany Academy. Luke Pezzano had four assists in the victory, while Ryan Dollar and Tommy Vogel each had two goals.
