UAlbany women’s lacrosse loses season-opening game

The UAlbany women’s lacrosse team fell Tuesday, as Charlotte North and No. 13 Boston College proved too tough for the visiting Great Danes in their season-opening game.

North had eight goals and an assist in Boston College’s 22-12 victory. Cara Urbank added four goals and an assist.

For UAlbany, four players scored multiple goals, including Madison Conway who had two goals and four assists. Hailey Carroll had a team-high four goals, while Kendra Harbinger and Kyla Zapolski each had three goals.

Boston College led UAlbany 14-7 at halftime, and scored eight of the first 10 goals of the second half before UAlbany registered the game’s final three goals.

The Great Danes next play Thursday vs. St. Bonaventure.
