Saint Rose men’s basketball avenges Friday’s loss to American International

The College of Saint Rose's Josh McGettigan scored a career-high 24 points in the Golden Knights' win over American International on Saturday.

ALBANY — Sophomore forward Josh McGettigan scored a career-high 24 points, and The College of Saint Rose avenged Friday night’s loss to American International by defeating the Yellow Jackets 78-73 on Saturday at Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium.

The Golden Knights (3-3) dropped a 79-76 decision on Friday.

McGettigan shot 10-for-13 from the field.

Schalmont High School graduate Shane O’Dell scored 10 of his 15 points in the second half. Adam Anderson added 11 points.

The teams will meet again at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Springfield, Massachusetts.
