Chamber of Schenectady County picks seven for Good News Awards

SCHENECTADY — Seven area businesses and organizations have been chosen to receive the 2021 Good News Awards:

  • Community Fathers, Inc.
  • The Ellis Hospital COVID care team
  • More Perreca’s
  • Open Door Bookstore
  • Schenectady Trading Company

The Chamber of Schenectady County bestows the awards each year upon businesses, organizations and individuals who have achieved significant growth; occupied a new or newly renovated building; reached a significant anniversary; launched a unique product or service; displayed extraordinary community support; or become a notable success story.

The award ceremony will be live streamed May 6. Registration for the event is available through capitalregionchamber.com. Presenting sponsor is MVP Health Care, supporting sponsors are NBT Bank, Price Chopper/Market 32, Schenectady Metroplex Development Authority and Union College. 

The Chamber of Schenectady County is an affiliate of the Capital Region Chamber, an organization with 2,900 members that employ 160,000 people mainly in Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga and Schenectady counties.
