
SCHENECTADY – Demolition began Friday on two buildings on Barrett Street, including the building at 1052 Barrett.
The buildings are being demolished by the Capital Region Land Bank and Bronze Contacting in an effort to fight blight.
The Capital Region Land Bank and the Schenectady County Metroplex Development Authority have demolished over 200 blighted buildings in recent years to help revitalize city neighborhoods.
