LOUDONVILLE — Kaitlyn Dowsett scored seven goals in leading the Siena women’s lacrosse team to a 19-17 MAAC win against visiting Quinnipiac Friday at Hickey Field.

Dowsett, a redshirt junior, added an assist in the win, which prevented the Saints from a three-game losing streak.

Nicole McNeely added five goals for Siena, which also received three goals apiece from Annie Brennan and Mary Soures, plus three assists from Kerry Gerety.

Siena led 11-8 at halftime, but Quinnipiac scored three of the second half’s first four goals. With the Saints up 14-13 after a Quinnipiac score, the Saints answered with four consecutive goals — two from Dowsett, two from Soures — before holding off a late charge from the visitors.

Megan Szawlowski led Quinnipiac with four goals.

Siena improved to 4-2 with the win. The Saints next play April 10 at Fairfield.
