High schools: Scotia-Glenville girls’ soccer beats Broadalbin-Perth

Brooklyn Drago had three goals and an assist, and Kortney Clark made four saves for the shutout in Scotia-Glenville’s 5-0 Foothills Council girls’ soccer win over Broadalbin-Perth Wednesday.

Lucy Crounse and Lily Dempsey also scored goals for Scotia-Glenville, and Sage Luke had two assists.

Bethlehem scored four unanswered goals in the second half to rally for a 5-2 non-league win over Queensbury. Katie Sellers paced the Eagles with two goals and an assist, and Claire Hutton had one goal and one assist.

Andrew Kraszewski totaled three goals and two assists, and Colin McNutt also recorded a hat trick as Mechanicville topped rival Stillwater 12-0 in a boys’ Wasaren League soccer game. Wyqie Aguda had two goals and three assists for Mechanicville, and TJ Bisallion had two goals and two assists.

Tamarac scored five goals in the first 20 minutes and beat Hoosick Falls 6-3. Ethan Brown had two goals for the Bengals.

Kasey Billert scored his third goal late in the second half as Berlin/New Lebanon managed a 3-3 tie with Waterford-Halfmoon. Josh Catanzarita scored two goals for the Fordians.

Arricca Silliman amassed 55 assists and 10 digs, and Columbia won the fifth set to edge Schenectady in a Suburban Council girls’ volleyball match. Allison Silliman had 20 kills, and Rachel Parry had 15 kills and 34 digs in Columbia’s 25-22, 25-19, 23-25, 24-26, 25-17 win. Gelmajony Marrero collected 22 kills and 23 digs for the Patriots, Marissa Gannon had 31 assists and 15 digs, and Savannah Petersen had 18 digs.

Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake went to 7-0 in the Suburban Council (8-0 overall) with a 25-10, 25-4, 25-8 sweep of Guilderland. Carlie Rzeszotarski had 14 kills and six aces for the Spartans, and Claire Isaksen contributed 28 assists and seven kills.

Victoria Smith Wyld had 12 kills, Sydney Speanburg had 28 assists and Phoebe Popkoski had 24 digs to lift Albany past Shaker 16-25, 25-13, 25-15, 25-21.

Shannon Coyle and Mya Chrysogelos delivered nine and seven kills, respectively, in Colonie’s 25-23, 25-15, 28-26 win over Averill Park.

Hailie Phelps had six kills as part of Mechanicville’s 25-13, 25-21, 23-25, 25-18 Wasaren League win over Berlin/New Lebanon.

Jordyn Sorel served six aces, and Lily Rodda served five of them for Tamarac, which improved to 8-0 with a 25-5, 26-24, 25-17 win over Stillwater.

Chloe Ekstein served eight aces to go with seven assists in Mekeel Christian Academy’s 25-10, 25-10, 25-11 non-league win over Maple Hill. Rose Seredensky served four aces and Amelia Armao added four kills for the Lions.
