High schools: Broadalbin-Perth boys’ soccer coach Henry gets 200th career victory

Sam Rogers produced three goals, Nick Bianco had two and six Broadalbin-Perth players scored their first varsity goals Saturday in a milestone boys’ soccer victory for Patriots coach Brian Henry.

Broadalbin-Perth defeated Johnstown 11-0 in a Foothills Council game for Henry’s 200th win. The group of first-time varsity goal scorers included Anthony Muscillo, Carter Iannotti, Luke Barnhart, Jack Dunlap, Alex Rogers and Massimo Pasquarelli. Iannotti added three assists and Ethan Brott contributed two assists.

Connor Raven registered Scotia-Glenville’s first two goals, and Sam Storti and Kofi Jack both had a goal and an assist in the Tartans’ 6-0 win over Amsterdam.

Sam Rowley and Max Roca scored second half goals as Queensbury rallied for a 2-1 win over Glens Falls, which got on the board first with a Jack Motsiff tally.

Schuylerville topped South Glens Falls 3-1 on goals by Balasai Witt, Cam Wian and Reid Rockhill, and avenged an early-season loss to the Bulldogs.

Brayden Box and Adam Amami scored two goals apiece to lift Ballston Spa to an 8-2 non-league win over Gloversville.

Simone Cassano scored three goals and assisted on two, and Gianna Viscusi had two goals and two assists as part of Schalmont’s 9-0 girls’ Colonial Council soccer win against Albany Academy. Ashley Cirilla also scored two goals for the Sabres.

Scotia-Glenville defeated Amsterdam 8-0 behind Rylee O’Connor, who had two goals and two assists, and Kortney Clark, who made four saves for the shutout.

Christina Cummings scored a goal, and Queensbury padded its lead on an own goal in a 2-0 Foothills Council victory over Glens Falls. Robin Gorton made seven saves for the shutout.

Nevaeh D’Alois collected two goals and an assist, and Patty Snyder also scored two goals to propel Mechanicville past Cambridge 6-0 in the Wasaren League.

The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake girls’ volleyball team boosted its overall mark to 11-0 with a 25-13, 25-14, 25-16 non-league sweep of Shenendehowa. Carlie Rzeszotarski had 15 kills for the Spartans and is now two kills away from 1,000 for her career. Rose Talty had eight kills for the Plainsmen (11-2 overall), who also lost to the Spartans in Suburban Council play earlier in the “Fall II” season.

Galway got 16 kills from Amber Kolpakas, 14 kills from Julia Reedy and 22 assists from Kylee Decker in a 25-14, 25-18, 25-12 non-league win over Niskayuna. Cat Schiavi paced the Silver Warriors with 17 kills.

Fonda-Fultonville beat Mayfield in a Western Athletic Conference match 24-26, 25-20, 25-17, 25-23, with Marilyn Whitcavitch totaling 18 kills and Amber Cole piling up 40 assists for the Braves. Deandra Myers had nine kills for Mayfield.

Marko Gibbons, Stephen Shaw and Marcus Gentile had 10, nine and eight kills, respectively, in Bethlehem’s 25-17, 25-18, 25-18 Suburban Council boys’ volleyball win over Colonie.
