SCHENECTADY – Two people were taken to Ellis Hospital early Saturday morning following a stabbing and shooting on McClellan Street, Schenectady police said.
The injuries to the two people appeared to be non-life-threatening, police said later Saturday.
Police said in a press release that they responded at 4:02 a.m. to the 900 block of McClellan Street to reports of shots fired.
As officers arrived on scene, they said they received calls that people with multiple injuries from a large fight were being dropped off at the hospital.
Police then learned one of the victims had been slashed and the other shot.
Police are asking anyone with information to call the department’s Detective Division at 518-382-5245.
