SCHENECTADY – A 70-year-old man was stabbed outside Summit Towers after an argument, police said.
The man was conscious and talking when officers arrived, police said. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Police quickly detained a suspect and he was being questioned by investigators later Saturday evening, police said.
The incident happened just after 7 p.m. outside Summit Towers. The victim was stabbed in the torso, police said.
The evening stabbing happened about 15 hours after police responded to reports of a large fight in the 900 block of McClellan Street where one person suffered a stab and another suffered a gunshot wound, police said.
The injuries to the two people in the morning incident appeared to be non-life-threatening, police said later Saturday.
Police are asking anyone with information in the earlier case to call the department’s Detective Division at 518-382-5245.
