Union eliminated from Liberty League women’s lacrosse tournament

Kelsey Williams had four goals and two assists, and 19th-ranked William Smith rolled to a 19-4 victory over Union in the Liberty League tournament semifinals on Wednesday in Geneva.

The third-seeded Dutchwomen (4-5) were making their first postseason appearance since 2016. But they fell behind 12-3 at halftime.

William Smith (7-4) put the game away in the second half, outscoring Union 7-1.

Payton McMahon scored three goals for William Smith.

Dana Nelson, Courtney Cronin, Isabel Bush and Linday Gerrato had the Union goals. Goalie Jenna Paszek made 14 saves.
