BALLSTON SPA- Three juveniles have been arrested in connection with vandalism at Kelley Park last month, police said.
Police announced the arrests this weekend. None of the three were identified due to their ages.
All three face one count as a juvenile of second-degree criminal mischief, felonies. One of the three also faces one count each of second-degree offering a false instrument for filing and obstructing governmental administration, misdemeanors.
Police last month asked for the public’s help in identifying whoever vandalized the park around April 12.
The vandals broke dozens of fence posts and signs, spray-painted graffiti with numerous vulgarities on the children’s equipment and destroyed other objects there, police said.
The total cost of the damage proved to be in excess of $2,000, police said.
Police “would like to thank the public for the numerous tips during the course of this investigation,” police wrote on Facebook. “A mixture of tips and security camera footage ultimately led to the arrests of the suspects.”
The three juveniles were referred to Saratoga County Probation.
