The investigation began Tuesday after the sheriff’s office received a complaint of dogs living in poor conditions at a residence in Malta Gardens Mobile Home Park, officials said.
The investigation then led to deputies getting a seizure order for the animals. Two pit bulls were secured by the Malta Animal Control Officer and the two people were charged.
The animals were receiving care Wednesday at the Saratoga County Animal Shelter.
Both Christina Flores and Shawn Flores were issued tickets and released to appear in court later.
