Police Monday arrested Timothy J. Quinlan, 40, of Rochester, and charged him with one count of third-degree burglary, a felony.

The investigation began around 8 a.m. May 3 when officers and investigators were sent to the school on Broadway for a burglary report, police said.

The investigation showed that, sometime in the overnight hours, someone had broken into the school. The offender was then gone by the time students and staff arrived, police said.

Police soon identified Quinlan as their suspect and took him into custody Monday by an officer on patrol.

Quinlan was arraigned and released to pre-trial services.
