TOWN OF PALATINE – A Nelliston woman drove drunk with a child in her car Saturday evening, Montgomery County Sheriff’s officials said.

Brittany Erin Field, 35, of Prospect Street, was arrested and charged with one count of Leandra’s Law DWI, a felony, along with misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child, officials said.

Deputies responded to a report of a possible drunk driver and later found Field operating her vehicle and using her cell phone, officials said. A release did not indicate the location of the stop.

Deputies stopped her and determined she was intoxicated and placed her under arrest. Fields had a 13-year-old child in her car, officials said.

She was arraigned and released to appear in Palatine Town Court later.
