
SCHENECTADY – City police were investigating a noontime bank robbery in Schenectady, police said.

The suspect walked into the bank and displayed a note indicating that he had a gun. He then fled with about $4,000 in cash, police said.
Police described the suspect as a man, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall, wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt.
Police asked that anyone who was in the areas of Lakewood Avenue and Eastern Parkway or Woodland Avenue and Eastern Parkway between 12:30 and 12:45 p.m. who may have witnessed the suspect fleeing the scene to contact police at 518-788-6566.
