“MVP Health Care is proud to support and celebrate this exciting community event that has been a longstanding tradition in Schenectady,” said Ellen Sax, MVP Health Care’s vice president of community engagement. “The return of Jazz on Jay is a great way for families to get outside and enjoy this unique music series all summer long. We look forward to seeing you there.”

All concerts take place Thursdays at noon until 1:30 p.m. on the Jay Street walkway.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, all concerts will be held outside rain or shine. The series will take a break on July 1 due to the holiday week. Also, MVP Health Care is offering free parking for the Jazz on Jay concerts at its parking garage.

“With all of the difficulties we have had to overcome in the past year, we’re especially proud of this series,” said Salvatore Prizio, the concerts and event manager for Proctors Collaborative. “Not only does it include some of the best of the Capital Region, with Dylan Perrillo, the 2020 Eddie’s Award Jazz Artist of the Year, we also have a finely tuned balance of area favorites combined with emerging artists and even some performers based out of New York City.”

In addition to MVP Health Care as the presenting sponsor, Jazz on Jay is sponsored by the City of Schenectady, Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corporation, and the Arts Center of the Capital Region. The series is produced by the ElectriCity Arts District and Proctors Collaborative with assistance from the Schenectady-Amsterdam Musical Union, AFM Local 85-133.
