After seven years of hosting the afternoon drive sports talk show at ESPN Radio 104.5 The Team (WTMM-FM), Jeff Levack is leaving the program.

Townsquare Media announced Friday that Levack is moving on to a new job as head of media relations for Tech East Fire and Water Restoration.
Levack will remain with WTMM for special on-air and online projects. His last day as full-time afternoon drive host will be next Friday.

Charlie Voelker, who hosts a Sunday morning show on WTMM, will replace Levack and join new station brand manager Dan Bahl on the 3-7 p.m. show that will be renamed “Voelker and Bahl.”

“After seven years of living my dream doing sports talk here on 104.5 The Team, I’ve been offered a great opportunity,” Levack said in a press release. “While I won’t be on the air every day, I do look forward to continuing my relationship with The Team both on air and in the community.”

Voelker filled in as temporary co-host with Levack after the station dismissed Tom Goslowski on Jan. 18.
“I am extremely excited to entertain Capital Region sports fans on The Team every afternoon,” Voelker said in the press release. “It is an amazing opportunity to join Dan talking sports and all that implies. I want to congratulate my friend Levack on his new opportunity and I’ll fill those shoes proudly.”

“Voelker and Bahl” will debut June 1 at 3 p.m.

Bahl recently was named The Team’s brand manager.

“Have loved working with Jeff both on and off-air,” Bahl said. “I am very excited to have Charlie join me on the afternoon show and look forward to us providing local sports fans with entertaining content on air and online.”
