Help sought finding identity of pedestrian seriously injured in Bethlehem crash

BETHLEHEM – Police in Bethlehem are asking for the public’s help in identifying a pedestrian seriously injured in an early Monday crash there.

The pedestrian was struck on River Road in Bethlehem at about 1:10 a.m. and was taken to Albany Medical Center for treatment.

The pedestrian, however, had yet to be identified as of later Monday morning, police said.

The crash happened in the area of 318 River Road, Glenmont. Police responded there after a driver, identified as Tammy L. Hardy, 60, of Ravena, reported she’d struck a pedestrian pushing a shopping cart in the middle of the southbound lane of River Road, police said.

Police indicated the pedestrian is believed to be of Middle Eastern decent. Anyone why may know the identity of the pedestrian or who has information on the crash is asked to contact the Bethlehem Police Department at 518-439-9973.
