The driver of the car appeared alert at the scene and placed on a stretcher to be taken to Albany Medical Center for treatment. Police described the car driver’s injuries as minor.

The accident happened at about 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Erie Boulevard and Seneca Street.

The cement truck impacted the driver’s side of the car and cement then appeared to flow from the truck’s chute onto the rear of the car and onto the roadway. The car had pulled onto Erie Boulevard from Seneca Street in front of the cement truck, a police spokesman said.
