SCHENECTADY – A boy on a bicycle was struck by a car Monday afternoon in Schenectady and taken to Ellis Hospital for treatment, police said.

Police described the boy’s injuries as non-life-threatening.

The incident happened just before 3:30 p.m. Monday at the corner of Bradley and McClellan streets, police said.

The boy was on his bicycle going down the hill on Bradley Street when he ran the red light and was struck by a vehicle headed south on McClellan Street, police said.

The boy was taken to Ellis Hospital for treatment, police said.
