SCHENECTADY – City police were investigating a report of shots fired Monday afternoon in the Mont Pleasant neighborhood.

There were no immediate reports of injuries, but one house was struck, according to information available at the scene.

The incident happened just before 4 p.m. on Ostrander Place, near Crane Street.

Officers on Ostrander Place could be seen placing an evidence marker over a shell casing in the street. 

Evidence technicians and detectives remained on the scene late Monday afternoon, police said.
