Valedictorian
PARENTS: Mei and Dun Ming Zheng
COLLEGE OR OTHER PLANS: Yale University
AFTER COLLEGE: Medical school
WHAT HAS BEEN THE HARDEST PART OF THE LAST YEAR OF SCHOOL and THE MOST REWARDING: The hardest part has been not being able to see the other half of our class, which is where some of my closest friends are. The most rewarding part has been receiving the college acceptance and knowing that it’s all over.
WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED ABOUT YOURSELF DURING THE PANDEMIC/HOW HAVE YOU CHANGED: I have learned that I am a major procrastinator and relied heavily on the rigid structure of school. Now, I have adapted to utilize a daily to-do list and have become more organized and self-sufficient.
WHAT IS THE MEMORY OF SCHOOL YOU WILL NEVER FORGET/WHAT WILL YOU MISS MOST ABOUT HIGH SCHOOL: The best memory of high school I will never forget is when my friends, Win and Nick, worn our swim team uniforms and walked through the winter pep rally in speedos.
WHAT’S IN YOUR MUSIC PLAYER: Rap and throwbacks
FAVORITE BOOK OR AUTHOR: Robert Ludium
BEST PART ABOUT GRADUATING: While the future is uncertain, being able to see everything come to fruition and knowing that I can let senioritis take over Zoom has been a great relief.
WHO OR WHAT INSPIRES YOU: My family.
