What has been the hardest part of the last year of school, and the most rewarding: The most challenging part was spending much of my last year remote. The most rewarding was being able to tutor my brilliant students.
What have you learned about yourself during the pandemic/how have you changed: During the pandemic I realized that I was living life too fast. I was always rushing from place to place and thinking about what’s to come. Now I know how important it is to take in the present, to be fully aware that every moment is unique and ought to be appreciated.
What is the memory of high school you will never forget: Slipping off the track and landing in the sand pit at a track meet in NYC.
What will you miss most about high school: Getting in trouble for being out of uniform!
What’s in your music player: Mainly rap/hip-hop (‘90s to now)
Favorite book or author: “The Guide” by R.K. Narayan
Best part about graduating: I now get to meet more people!
Who or what inspires you: I am inspired by everyone who chooses to be kind when they do not have anything to gain.
