Julianna Keyser

Valedictorian

Parents: Heather and Richard Vilegi

College or other plans: Attend Rochester Institute of Technology for environmental science.

After college: I am aiming to be employed at an environmental company or organization and to move somewhere outside of New York with my cat. I also want to be able to travel frequently and contribute to or pioneer some kind of research.

What has been the hardest part of the last year of school and the most rewarding: The hardest part of the last year of school has been trying to maintain my focus and motivation while being online. The most rewarding part has been to finally graduate and start the next stage of my life where I can learn and grow even more.

What have you learned about yourself during the pandemic: How have you changed: I learned that I don’t always mind being by myself and it can actually be beneficial at times. I have changed in growing a stronger connection with myself.

What is the memory of high school you will never forget/What will you miss most about high school: I will never forget the bus rides home from both ski club and track and field. I will definitely miss my favorite teachers who have helped me along the way.

What’s in your music player: It changes all the time depending on my mood.

Best part about graduating: Starting the next chapter of my life and having my whole class together one last time.

Who or what inspires you: The fact that there are pretty much limitless opportunities out there and it is just a matter of going out there and creating, finding, and securing them.
