Kiersten Conroy

Valedictorian

PARENTS: Kurt and Stephanie Conroy

COLLEGE OR OTHER PLANS: Attending Quinnipiac University

AFTER COLLEGE: Planning to attend medical school and specialize as an anesthesiologist.

WHAT HAS BEEN THE HARDEST PART OF THE LAST YEAR OF SCHOOL and THE MOST REWARDING: It has been difficult to stay focused during online classes, but with the help of my teachers and parents, I used this difficult situation to improve my academics.

WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED ABOUT YOURSELF DURING THE PANDEMIC/HOW HAVE YOU CHANGED: I have learned this year that I am capable of anything I put my mind to. I have also learned to ask for help when I need it and continue to push myself to achieve everything I am striving for.

WHAT IS THE MEMORY OF SCHOOL YOU WILL NEVER FORGET/ WHAT WILL YOU MISS MOST ABOUT HIGH SCHOOL: One of the most incredible memories of high school was attending the Top 10 ceremony and being named valedictorian. I told my superintendent that I was planning on attending Quinnipiac and becoming a doctor.

BEST PART ABOUT GRADUATING: The best part about graduating will be knowing that graduating high school is the first step to my long, difficult journey to becoming a doctor and saving people’s lives.

WHO OR WHAT INSPIRES YOU: My mom, dad and grandmother inspire me to do my best every day. They are some of the smartest and most hardworking people I know, and their support makes me determined to go above and beyond what is expected of me. I am so grateful for them, and all they have taught me.
