South Glens Falls High School
PARENTS: Jeffrey and Bree Pisacane
COLLEGE OR OTHER PLANS: Lafayette College
AFTER COLLEGE: I plan to study bioengineering or neuroscience in college and I plan to attend graduate school once I leave college.
WHAT HAS BEEN THE HARDEST PART OF THE LAST YEAR OF SCHOOL and THE MOST REWARDING: The hardest part of the school year has been preparing for college amidst the pandemic. The most rewarding part of the school year has been getting to know all of my teachers and being able to continue doing most, if not all, of the activities that I love despite the restrictions.
WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED ABOUT YOURSELF DURING THE PANDEMIC/HOW HAVE YOU CHANGED: I have learned about my own strength within times of adversity as well as the blessing of family and friends. I learned to take more responsibility for my mental health and take more time to enjoy myself and the life I have been given. Most importantly, the pandemic sparked a realization that I should never take life for granted.
WHAT IS THE MEMORY OF SCHOOL YOU WILL NEVER FORGET: I will never forget the first time I entered a poetry contest and got recognized for my writing. It was a milestone for me and it sent me on a writing journey I will never forget.
WHAT WILL YOU MISS MOST ABOUT HIGH SCHOOL: I will miss my teachers and friends who have motivated and inspired me in so many ways for the past four years. I will also miss being a dancer in the South High Marathon Dance which is such an amazing and important event in our community.
WHAT’S IN YOUR MUSIC PLAYER: I love anything from classic rock to Christian pop music
FAVORITE BOOK OR AUTHOR: “The Lord of the Rings” by J.R.R. Tolkien
BEST PART ABOUT GRADUATING: Starting a new adventure by going to college and being able to meet new people from all over the world.
WHO OR WHAT INSPIRES YOU: I am inspired by my twin sister who is always motivating me to be optimistic and strong. She is compassionate and intelligent, and I am inspired by her efforts to make a difference in the world.
