The Rotterdam Senior Citizens’ Center reopened to the public Tuesday.
All 55 and older can access parts of the center, including the billiards room and library, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. However, preference will be given to town residents. Classes are currently limited. Wheelchairs and walkers are available to borrow if needed. The hiring process continues for more staff, according to the release.
The building, located at 2639 Hamburg St., opened its doors following the completion of repairs necessary since a flood in August 2018, according to a press release from The Martin Group, the town’s public relations firm. The closure was extended to 34 months due to the coronavirus pandemic.
