SARATOGA SPRINGS – The coronavirus pandemic gave fans the shutout for the 2020 racing season; many will return this Thursday, when Saratoga begins the 2021 racing meet to an expected full house.

The opener represented the first day of the race course’s newly expanded meet. Horses, jockeys, trainers, owners and fans were on the job for five weeks instead of the former four-week schedule.
