New York City Ballet dancer Mimi Staker led children in a dance inspired by “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” on Tuesday. As part of the workshop, each child was given a pair of fairy wings to wear.
The workshop is one of several that NYCB led while in Saratoga Springs for its annual residency program, which was canceled last year because of the pandemic.
The company will perform an all-Balanchine program Thursday (July 15) at 2 p.m., followed by a “Short Stories” performance Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. The residency continues on Friday (July 16) at 7:30 p.m. with an all-Balanchine program and Saturday (July 17) at 2 p.m. for a “Short Stories” performance, followed by all-Balanchine show at 7:30 p.m.
Masks are no longer required and tickets range from $40 to $105 and $30 for lawn seats. For more information visit spac.org.
