An investigation into a suspicious vehicle in Saratoga Springs on Friday evening led to the arrests of two men.
Saratoga Springs police officers responded just after 9 p.m. to a call about a suspicious vehicle on La Fayette Street just off of Henry Street, according to a press release from the department.
Police said when they found the car, one of the two occupants in the vehicle fled and has yet to be located. The other occupant, Kyree N. Graham, 24, of Albany, was unlawfully in possession of a .38 caliber Firestorm revolver.
He was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a firearm, in this case a felony, because it follows a previous conviction. Graham was also charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, for the weapon being loaded, which is also a felony.
While police were arresting Graham, they said another man, 22-year-old Amir L. O’Sullivan of Watervliet, walked up to the officers and tried to physically interfere with Graham’s arrest. Police arrested O’Sulllivan and found that he was in possession of just under four grams of MDMA, otherwise known as Ecstasy or Molly.
O’Sullivan was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and second-degree obstruction of governmental association, a misdemeanor.
Graham was arraigned and sent to Saratoga County Jail without bail for the charges and an outstanding warrant from the state Department of Corrections, according to the release. O’Sullivan was arraigned and released.
