Journeyman and The Lords of 52nd Street are slated to perform at Mohawk Harbor Amphitheater in August.
Presented by Rivers Casino & Resort, the concerts will be free and open to all ages.
Journeyman, an Eric Clapton tribute band, will perform on Aug. 21 and Billy Joel tribute band The Lords of 52nd Street will take the stage on Aug. 28. The latter show will be followed by a fireworks show.
“We’re thrilled to bring back free live music to the magnificent Mohawk Harbor Amphitheater for what’s sure to be two fun and unforgettable nights,” said River Casino & Resort General Manager Rick Richards. “The music of Eric Clapton and Billy Joel fits right in with our goal to bring top-quality entertainment to the Capital Region.”
Journeyman is fronted by Shaun Hague, who has performed with Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Amos Lee and John Waite.
The Lords of 52nd Street backed Joel on his biggest hits and Grammy Award-winning albums. Each show will kick off at 5 p.m. with performances by local bands. Food trucks will be onsite and concert-goers can bring chairs and blankets. Shows will be held rain or shine.
