Troopers: Long Island man killed in Schoharie County ATV crash

SUMMIT – A man was killed in an ATV crash in Schoharie County this week, state police said Wednesday.

Kenneth Gabrielsen, 28, of Jamesport, Suffolk County, was killed in the Monday afternoon crash on property off Enid Road in the town of Summit, state police said.

The crash happened at about 1:30 p.m. that day. The preliminary investigation determined Gabrielsen was operating an ATV on the property when he struck a tree head-on, troopers said.

Gabrielsen was transported to Albany Medical  Center where he succumbed to his injuries, state police said.

The crash remained under investigation Wednesday.
