GLENVILLE — CAP COM Federal Credit Union on Wednesday cut the ribbon on its new Route 50 branch.

It is the westernmost location in the Colonie-based credit union’s footprint, which now comprises 12 branches in three counties.

The new branch at 262 Saratoga Road contains two teller pods, a coin machine and other amenities.

The credit union hopes to attract new membership with the move and provide better service to its existing membership.

CAP COM and SEFCU two weeks ago announced their plans to merge and create one of the largest credit unions in the state. With approval from shareholders and regulators, the merger is expected to be completed in 2022.
