The last two Downtown Schenectady Starlight Cinema events, slated for tonight and next Wednesday, have been canceled due to technical issues.
The four-part movie and concert series kicked off earlier this month in front of Schenectady City Hall. Organized by the Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corporation (DSIC) and Schenectady County, it included performances by Running the River and The E-Block Band and movies like “Raya and the Last Dragon.”
“We have made the difficult decision to cancel the two remaining Downtown Schenectady Starlight Cinema events on August 18 & 25 due to technical issues. Thank you to our event sponsors, musicians, vendors and attendees,” the DSCI posted Wednesday on Twitter.
