LATHAM — Community Care Physicians said Thursday it will relocate its headquarters and flagship location from Route 7 to Route 9 in Latham.
The region’s largest independent medical group currently is based out of 711 Troy Schenectady Road, at Capital Region Health Park. It will move to 4-6 Autopark Drive, off Loudon Road, where it will be the primary tenant in a 260,000-square-foot medical arts building to be constructed.
“We, unfortunately, outgrew the Capital Region Health Park space, but we knew we couldn’t leave Latham. This is our hub, our home,” CCP Chief Operating Office Joan Hayner said in a news release. “We needed to find a location close by that enabled us to expand while remaining convenient for patients and our staff.”
The new location will provide this, she said.
CCP said specialties moving to the new site include primary care, OB/GYN, laboratories, urgent care, medical imaging, radiation oncology, urology, interventional radiology, vascular surgery, thyroid health, back and pain management, general surgery and endoscopy care, physical therapy, audiology, podiatry, and dermatology.
CCP plans to add rheumatology, an enlarged ambulatory surgery space and an expanded cancer care program. Additional specialties may be added in the future.
The Capital Region Health Park in Latham opened in 2002, and CCP has been modeling its facilities on it ever since. It now has six other health parks.
It has more than 70 medical practices and more than 1,800 employees in eight counties.
