SCHENECTADY – A Thursday morning fire damaged a Schenectady home, authorities said.

Firefighters responded to the blaze at at 1275 Lexington Ave. about 2:45 a.m., said Assistant Fire Chief Don Mareno, department spokesman.

The home was vacant at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported.

Firefighters chased hot spots in the home’s walls, but had the fire under control after about 40 minutes.
