Troopers: Semi strikes Clifton Park underpass, gets stuck; Road closed

CLIFTON PARK – A tractor-trailer struck a narrow railroad underpass in Clifton Park Tuesday afternoon, closing the stretch of road, state police said.

The incident happened at the railroad underpass on Carlton Road, between Kinns Road and Van Patton Drive, state police said on Twitter shortly after 2 p.m.

No injuries were reported, troopers shared a photo of the semi’s trailer wedged under the narrow and low underpass.

The bridge’s posted clearance is 10 feet, 1 inch.

Carlton Road between Kins and Van Patton remained closed mid afternoon for the cleanup, state police said.
