CLIFTON PARK – The semi truck driver whose trailer got stuck Tuesday under a narrow Clifton Park railroad underpass has been cited in the crash, state police said.
Troopers identified the driver as Zhi Li, 64, of South El Monte, Ca. No one was hurt.
Li was traveling north on Carlton Road just before 1 p.m. when he failed to heed the low height sign for the railroad bridge, state police said. Troopers ticketed him.
The bridge’s posted clearance is 10 feet, 1 inch.
The truck was carrying batteries. None spilled, state police said.
A state police spokeswoman did not have further information on the crash.
The crash closed the stretch of Carlton between Kinns Road and Van Patten Drive Tuesday afternoon for the removal.
