High schools: Bianco’s six goals power Broadalbin-Perth boys’ soccer to win over Johnstown

Nick Bianco scored six goals and had two assists in Broadalbin-Perth’s 14-0 win over Johnstown in Foothills Council boys’ soccer action Saturday. Sam Rogers added three goals and two assists for the Patriots.

Liam Armstrong scored two goals in Schuylerville’s 4-0 win over Hudson Falls.

Kazume Lomanto had two assists in Gloversville’s 4-0 win over Scotia-Glenville. Tommy Kluska, Bryen Belknap, Doug Cook and James Collar each scored for Gloversville.

Averill Park’s Kyle Almeida and Hayden Kiehl scored goals in the Warriors’ 2-1 Suburban Council win over Saratoga Springs.

CBA’s Conor Garcia and Erik Najtellari each scored three goals in a 6-1 win versus Schenectady.

Ben Tymeson scored two goals, and Emir Cekic provided two assists as Shenendehowa defeated Ballston Spa 3-1.

Cody Haig scored three goals, and Braden Greenslete added two as Canajoharie shut out Fort Plain 6-0 in non-league action.

Niskayuna’s Lauren Goyette scored a goal from a Kaleigh West assist in the Silver Warriors’ 3-1 loss to Fayetteville-Manlius in the New York State Soccer Coaches Hall of Fame Tournament held at sites throughout the Capital Region.

Ciara Thompson and Kaellin Thompson each scored a goal and had an assist in Northville’s 4-2 loss to Section V’s Wheatland-Chili in non-league action.
Macey Koval scored a pair of goals and added an assist in Schuylerville’s 5-0 win over Lake George.

Broadalbin-Perth’s Jill Sassanella scored in the first half, but Ballston Spa’s Maddie Wania tied the contest in the second half as the two squads played to a 1-1 tie.

Cole Krempa scored two unassisted goals in the fourth quarter as Johnstown defeated Scotia-Glenville 3-2 in Foothills Council field hockey action. Olivia Geneti scored both Tartans goals.

Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake defeated Smithtown West 25-17, 25-11 in the final of the BH-BL Harold Van Earden Memorial Tournament. The Spartans defeated Galway, 25-14, 25-15 earlier in the tournament. Callie Chevalier had seven kills in the final finishing with 31 for the tournament. Carlie Rzeszotarski had five kills in the final and 48 on the day with setter Danielle Debonis dishing out 19 assists in the final and 95 on the day.
