Brendan Savage will continue campaigning against Omar Sterling McGill for the Schenectady County seat representing Schenectady City after losing the Democratic Primary but winning the Working Families Primary in June.

“While I come from a family of proud longtime Democrats, I believe that at the local level there is much more that unites us than divides us across party lines,” Savage said in a press release Tuesday.

Savage will be running on the Working Families and Conservative Party lines.

Savage said his campaign promises remain the same, “focusing on neighborhood revitalization, fixing the roads, reducing trash and litter in the streets, bringing a grocery store downtown and providing for safer streets through community policing.”
