
A woman in her 60s died after contracting COVID-19, Schenectady County announced Friday afternoon.
No additional information about the woman was provided.
The county is deemed a high transmission area by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The woman is the 167th death to date in the county from the disease, according to the county website.
There are currently 267 active cases, with 26 hospitalizations and 609 people in isolation or quarantine, according to the county. Almost 62% of the county population is fully vaccinated.
