Former UAlbany men’s lacrosse goalie Riorden named Premier Lacrosse League MVP

Former UAlbany men’s lacrosse goalie Blaze Riorden won two awards at the Premier Lacrosse League End of Season Awards Ceremony Friday night in Washington, including the league’s Jim Brown Most Valuable Player.

Riorden, who plays for the PLL’s Chaos LC, also won the Oren Lyons Goalie of the Year award. He led the league with 149 saves, this season.

Riorden, along with former Great Danes teammate Troy Reh, will face Whipsnakes LC in the PLL title game today at noon in Washington. The game will be televised by NBC13 (WNYT).
