Democrats to blame for inflation and job losses

Well I hope all voters might just realize what a mistake it was to allow the Democrats to get control of the presidency and the House of Representatives.

We are now facing inflation at 5.4% in 2021 instead of the 2.3% under President Trump; gas prices that are 90 cents/gallon higher than under President Trump; Biden has shut down the Canadian pipeline, costing thousands of jobs both Canadian and American as well as signing executive orders that make us more dependent on foreign oil, when we were oil independent under President Trump. Biden has made a horrible mistake leaving Afghanistan without any plan and without discussions with our allies and he has made a disaster of the southern border. His policies promoting sentiment against police have created a platform for violence in many cities such as Portland, Seattle, Chicago, and New York.

Enough! If we, as Americans, allow this kind of leadership to continue we are signing our death warrant. Please vote against these incompetent people in 2022 and 2024. We must vote out Biden, Harris, Pelosi and Schumer and elect strong American leadership with true American values and not these socialistic views that are destroying our country.

Biden, Harris distrusted Trump, not vaccine

This is in response to Mr. Zanger’s Sept. 15 letter to the editor (“Biden and Harris sowed vaccine doubt.”) Mr. Zanger should have done some fact checking before he wrote his letter. According to Snopes, Politifacts, AP News and Reuters:

In a Sept. 6, 2020, interview Harris did not refuse to take the vaccine, nor did she discourage others from taking it, but she said she did not trust then-U.S. President Donald Trump’s vaccine roll-out policy or his statements about COVID-19. She said she would listen to medical experts such as Dr. Anthony Fauci but would not take Trump’s word for it.

Biden stated: “Americans have had to endure President Trump’s incompetence and dishonesty, when it comes to testing and personal protective equipment. We can’t afford to repeat those fiascos when it comes to a vaccine. … Let me be clear: I trust vaccines, I trust scientists, but I don’t trust Donald Trump, and at this moment, the American people can’t either. Last week, Senator Harris and I laid out three questions this administration’s going to have to answer to assure the American people that politics will not play a role whatsoever in the vaccine process. If Donald Trump can’t give answers and the administration can’t give answers to these three questions, the American people should not have confidence.”

Basically, they stated they didn’t trust Trump. A little fact-checking goes a long way from spreading fake news and fake facts.

Hey, President Biden: Give peace a chance

Sept. 21 is International Day of Peace, established by the United Nations in 1981 and unanimously declared a day of non-violence and cease fire by the U.N. General Assembly 20 years ago. Even the United States voted for it.

I’m hoping that President Biden follows protocol and declares a day of cease fire and non-violence. It would probably save us a couple of billion dollars and might make the world a safer place. Some corporations like Raytheon might say it’s a slippery slope and that other Days Of Peace might follow, leading to a loss in excessive greedy military-industrial corporate profits and CEO bonuses.

I’m willing to take that chance.

Locally we can try a day of non-violence and peace. It will probably be nice, happy and peaceful.

There is also a minute of silence at noon around the world for those who would like to join in.

Hey, President Biden: Give it a try, at least for one day. International Day of Peace.

Then, if it works, try another day, then another.

DEBORAH BENDER You’re making up stories, they all said what they said because they didn’t want Trump to have a vaccine before the election, with these people it’s all about politics not peoples lives, do you actually think they could give a crap about you one way or another, any of these politicians? If it wasn’t for President Trump we may still not have a vaccine just so you know. And one final thing, get ready for 2024 because Trump will be your president again.

Yeah, Trump was so proud of his vaccine accomplishment that he got his shots in secret and never told anyone to get it until recently when he almost got booed off stage for mentioning it. Fox News pedals anti-vaxx BS every day on their programs, but every one of their personalities, from Tucker to Hannity to Laura Ingraham, are all vaccinated. Trump could have had a real victory by touting the vaccine and getting Fox News to promote it, but then Biden won the election and they changed their tune about the vaccine. Talk about playing politics!

Doug Hampton

Matt you are 100% correct. Trumpsters love to play the poor pitiful us card! Truth of the matter is that if Trump acknowledged from the beginning how dreadful this virus was and worked hard to keep it from spreading while waiting for the vaccine ,he would be President. So he is either very stupid or actually enjoys playing the victim card.

Which explains the cruel and thoughtless way he and the Democrats addressed the financial losses we all felt due to a global pandemic (‘gosh, won’t that pesky thing just go away! It’s ruining all our attempts to ruin the Democrats’) by getting those in need, businesses, governments and regular people money carry this country through this.
Those heartless Demoncrats!

So, what would the Republican plan for recovery be? Right, lets see what Donald Trump says. And so far he says we don’t have to worry about a stupid old pandemic. But sticking a bright light…somewhere and dosing Clorox, and this hydrochloro…whatever too. But don’t listen to the experts! They’re ALL lying to you to control your minds, Sheeple!

Yes, Biden and the democrats actually DO care about the American people and would have listened to science from the beginning and would not have lied or politicized this pandemic if they were in power. They demonstrate every day how they want as many as possible to get vaccinated. Biden would have cut bureaucracy also to get the vaccine out. Geez, Zach–you act like 45 conjured up the vaccine himself.

From today’s guest columnist: ” The police moved to grab Mount and he took off running, eventually down an alley to a construction site.

How long must we wait for people to get the idea that resisting arrest can be fatal?”

To Jclark: I read two of the links you provided as evidence that Trump colluded with Putin, I couldn’t access the third. I can understand why you believe he did. However, the evidence cited here is speculation. Here’s some examples from your links:

At the most pivotal moment of that campaign, when the Access Hollywood tape revealing President Trump’s confession of a lifetime of sexual assault, Trump’s confidante Roger Stone successfully requested that Russia’s illegally hacked materials be released immediately.

This revelation also explains why President Trump dangled a pardon for Roger Stone for months, why U.S. Attorney General William Barr gave Stone special treatment amidst an open rebellion from U.S. Department of Justice professionals, and why Trump went even further to commute Stone’s sentence as Stone was concealing these facts from federal investigators.

It could also be said that Trump believed Stone was prosecuted unjustly and treated unfairly the way FBI agents stormed into his home at gunpoint and that was his motive for pardoning him. The FBI realized it had nothing on Trump. Yet a special prosecutor was assigned, which accomplished the Dem’s goal of disrupting 45’s presidency.

I appreciate you sending the links. The media knows most readers only skim the headlines and don’t bother to read and process the details. The media reports narratives that support their party(Dems). These headlines are good examples. If I am wrong then why has the public trust in the media suffered a steady decline since 2016 and continues that downward trend today? We can agree that decline has happened. We might disagree on the reasons why.

Stone, Manafort and others were pardoned because they kept 45s illegalities and questionable behaviors to themselves. They protected him–his idea of loyalty. Those who spoke out were skewered, and still are attacked viciously today. 45 has that sick way of keeping himself at arms length while others commit crimes…just like a mob boss.
Yes, anything that doesn’t go 45s way is “unfair” or they are “Obama judges” or they “aren’t strong enough.” So predictable for the toddler that doesn’t get his way.

45s campaign had over 100 contacts with the Russians. 45 pathetically sided with the ex KGB Putin over our own intelligence…one of the most unAmerican things I’ve ever witnessed a president do.

Yes, the media has suffered because of 45s constant attacks–just like our own elections! They are lies, but he was taught by Roy Cohn to just keep saying it over and over and over. True journalists and patriots are under attack because of 45s lies–so many death threats and he could care less!
BTW–the National Enquirer (his friend, Pecker) helped elect 45 with catch and kill, pro-trump headlines, telling lies and knocking out competitors like Ted Cruz (his dad helped assassinate Kennedy, for instance).

William–don’t forget the fact that 45 has 12 felon disciples orbiting him. Would you follow a person that was surrounded by criminals and think they were innocent?
I appreciate the non-confrontational way you responded to my post.

Nothing to add to jclark’s response, but now is a good time to point out the role Facebook, Cambridge Analytics, Brexit, and a special thing called Project Lakhta.

It’s very easy and lazy to keep referring to the word “collusion” and the claimed lack of it and charges, etc., and overlook the blatant compliance of the Republicans to Russia’s interference.

“My people came to me, (Director of National Intelligence) Dan Coats came to me and some others saying they think it’s Russia. I have President Putin, he just said it’s not Russia,” Trump said. “I will say this, I don’t see any reason why it would be.”

Care to address this, William?

William Aiken

Two points on Trump and Putin: First on policy: 45 was much tougher on Russian than the previous admin. Trump armed the Ukraine with Javalins; tank piercing missiles. Our troops killed 200 Russian soldiers in Syrian under Trump’s watch.

I get it that many don’t like 45’s flattering rhetoric of Putin. It’s the way he negotiates and his been quite successful with it. He employed this style with China’s Ping and NK’s Kim. And America has benefit from it in the form of the Abraham accord peace deals, better trade agreement and turning a potential nuclear hotspot into peaceful relations with NK. The point is his policies are what matter not his bluster or fawning of Putin.

“Bloomberg News reported more than 200 contract killers—mostly Russian citizens fighting for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad—died in what is believed to be the deadliest incident between Russian and U.S. citizens since the Cold War.”
https://www.thedailybeast.com/report-us-forces-killed-more-than-200-russian-fighters-in-syria-attack

See the problem with what you try to pass off as facts?

“I get it that many don’t like 45’s flattering rhetoric of Putin.”
How about his insulting of US Intelligence and armed forces. That’s gotta count for something, no?
Seriously?
It’s just “his style”?
Or maybe that makes him some kinda rogue, or hero.
“Rambo tRump! Get yer posters here!”

I won’t bother with the rest of your comment. How many times can you sustain shooting yourselves in your own feet?

William Aiken

I was respectful in answering your request to address the points you raised. You used my reply as an opportunity to berate me. So don’t ask me to reply to your posts in the future.

Edward Vining’s letter about gas prices are 90 cents/gallon now. Gasoline should be triple the current cost/gallon by now. We’ve had decades to fix the pollution/carbon problem that spews out of exhaust pipes. The government keeps kicking that can down the road. Corporations and people react to cost to fix a problem. What does he think gasoline costs in other countries? Less than here?

Do the regular posters and readers notice there must be a couple of slightly different form letters circling about how bad B-H are doing. Some such as EDWARD J. VINING posts say gas prices, pipe line and boarder. Edward they have all been thoroughly debunked except the boarder problem. Anti Biden-Harris folks the boarder is a problem, but news out today Democrats can’t include a possible or any solution in there reconciliation bill. So my guess is lotsa luck getting one done as separate legislation. Who thinks the Republicans will filibuster ANYTHING bought foreword?

Has any one seen the CNN interview with the Mississippi governor from yesterday?
Biden’s vaccine mandates are an assault on the American worker?? How come everyone misses if not vacated you have to test weekly as part of mandate?.

My daughters employer has that if not vaxed. She is, and in charge of testing twice a week for those workers in Nursing home. Won’t repeat what she says about those folks.

Joseph Vendetti

Jclark – lets admit there are scumbags of both parties – or are we forgetting Whitewater ? A total of 15 people were convicted of various felony & misdemeanor charges in connection with Whitewater & Bill Clinton.

Clinton also pardoned the main person who refused to testify.
Susan McDougal, who had already completed her sentence, was pardoned for her role in the Whitewater scandal. McDougal had served the maximum possible 18 months, including eight in solitary confinement, on contempt charges for refusing to testify about Clinton’s

Joseph–“Investigations into Whitewater uncovered real wrongdoing. Fifteen people, in total, were convicted of various charges. The McDougals were convicted of fraud, as was Jim Guy Tucker, Clinton’s successor as governor of Arkansas. Webster Hubbell, a law partner of Hillary’s who served in the Clinton Justice Department, pleaded guilty to fraud charges. But ultimately, none of the many investigations into Whitewater — including, most famously, one by independent counsel Kenneth Starr — found that the Clintons did anything criminal. The conclusion was that it’s likelier they were victims of Jim McDougal’s malfeasance than that they were co-conspirators.” VOX

Don’t you people have anything better to talk about than Trump. His time is past. Biden has the power now and he is an embarrassment.

“His time is past.”
You can’t be serious.
His name is specifically written into the Republican Party platform! Maybe you should have a look.
He’s the leader of one half of our political system.
You wish he was “past”.

Doug Hampton

I wish the first part of your comment was true. Sadly it is not as he is clearly the front runner in the R party. If he runs I would go as far as saying that nobody will even go against him in a primary. Anyone’s political career as a Republican would be over. All the R Senators are absolute cowards so unless these law suits actually happen….Trump in 2024. I hope not but it’s very possible perhaps even likely.

fredsmith–45 just wrote a letter to Georgia’s Raffensperger to decertify the election from 2020! He’s still at it–dismantling and destroying our government, undermining our elections. He will not stop…that’s why we keep discussing him…he is a clear and present danger.

LOUIS RESTIFO

Chuck, Matt, jclark, Florida, Ray, forget it. What comes to mind with these guys is the movie Terminator 2: Judgement Day.

You’re dealing with Retrumplican pre-programmed robots. They’re Like the liquid metal T-1000 Terminator who’s sole mission was to kill John Connor, the only human capable of saving the planet.
The difference being the Retrumplican’s mission, without realizing it, is to destroy democracy.
Not unlike T-1000 who could replicate anyone he came into contact with, our Retrumplicans do a great job of becoming perfect clones of Sean Hannity, Laura Ingrahan and the likes.
Not capable of independent thinking, they just keep repeating what they’re programmed to say, and they’re all saying the same thing.

You mean like packing the Supreme Court so that it is a political wing of the democrat party. You mean allowing millions of illegals into our country so that they vote democrat. You mean stopping energy independence and killing jobs so that the government has to take care of us. You mean dividing us by race and income so that we will never come together to beat your brand of socialism. You mean never holding democrats accountable for the crimes they commit. You mean destroying the greatest nation on earth. Kind of like the Emmys, the Met and the San Fran Mayor, the hypocrisy was so thick, the haves are maskless while the little people (workers) wore masks, it just shows how out of touch you lefties are.

Doug Hampton

Zachary Congratulations on the indoctrination! If you really believe these things in your heart and mind then I suggest you expand your sources of information. They simply are not true. And again as I mentioned in another post….Why do you guys always feel the need to call everyone “lefty’s” that doesn’t agree with you.? It’s quite inaccurate as is your entire post. I am sure that you will just throw another angry tirade at me but as ChuckD said before me….explain the “packing the Supreme Court so that it is a political wing of the Democrat party”. That makes no sense on any level!

Even a lefty knows that if a Democrat President is allowed to pick seven more SCOTUS justices they would be liberal. The reason you lefties want to change the makeup of the court is that you don’t like it when the court rules against you. I’m an Independent not a Republican and I see what you are all about, stop playing stupid.

Doug Hampton

Zachary….I was a life long Republican and changed to Independent because the party left me, I didn’t leave it. There are many of us out there so when you use the term “lefty” as a verbal weapon to demonize your perceived enemy, you are demonstrating complete ignorance. If the Lincoln Project folks (made up of all ex Republicans) ever took the next step and formed a 3rd party, that’s where I would go. There are things that I don’t like about both parties but if Trump continues to have a hold over the party as he currently does, then it’s a no brainer as to who I will support. Meanwhile Trump got 3 Conservative judges on the court and your side is good to go for some time now so the last thing your side should be worried about is the Supreme Court!

I would like to understand you people, but I can’t.
You continue to blurt out these idiotic right wing talking points and you must know what the response will be. Most of it you all are already exposed to be guilty of yourselves.
There’s absolutely no attempt to unite this country. It’s all about driving the wedge. How can you possibly hope to be successful?
Wth is the point?
