High schools: Jack scores four goals in Scotia-Glenville boys' soccer win

Kofi Jack finished with four goals and an assist to lead Scotia-Glenville to an 11-0 victory over Johnstown in a Foothills Council South Division game at Johnstown High School.

Xavier DeLuca had a goal and five assists for the Tartans, while Connor Raven and Matt Schraa each had a goal and an assist. Zach Place made three saves to earn the shutout in goal.

Northville coach Steve Clapper recorded his 250th career win as the Falcons got two goals from Landon Ginter in a 4-1 non-league win over Loudonville Christian.

Niskayuna’s Andrew Stiles assisted on goals by Jake Lewis and Matt Stiles as the Silver Warriors defeated Saratoga Springs 2-1 in Suburban Council action.

In Class C football action, Johnstown rallied from a 21-point deficit for a 28-21 win over Mechanicville.

Niskayuna’s Grace Mackey scored the final two goals in the Silver Warriors 3-2 win over Saratoga Springs in Suburban Council girls’ soccer action.

Catelyn Hodge scored the game-winning goal from an assist by Sarach Leclerc in Mohonasen’s 1-0 non-league win against Scotia-Glenville.

Niskayuna’s Ava Holliday scored both goals in the Silver Warriors 2-1 non-league field hockey win over Glens Falls.

Scotia-Glenville’s Tyler Greene captured the Killian Invitational cross country invitational at Moreau Recreational Park, covering the three-mile course in 15 minutes, 32.82 seconds, pacing the Tartans to a second-place team finish.

Stephanie James captured the girls’ title on the same course, winning in 18:53.87 for the first-place Tartans.

Schalmont senior Jack Gemmett won the Galway Cross Country Invitational, covering the 2.5-mile course in 14:07.0, leading the Sabres to the team title.
