Friday night’s football game between Ballston Spa and South Glens Falls/Fort Edward has been postponed due to coronavirus-related protocols within the South Glens Falls/Fort Edward program.

In a social media post Friday morning, the Ballston Spa athletic department announced that, “We regret to inform you that the South Glens Falls School District has notified us that they will be unable to field a team for tonight’s game due to a positive case of COVID-19 and required quarantining of members of their varsity team.”

The game, which was scheduled for 7 p.m., was to be the second Class A Grasso Division contest for both Ballston Spa (0-1 Grasso, 2-2 overall) and South Glens Falls (0-1, 0-3).

It was not immediately clear whether the game will be made up or will be canceled outright and listed as a forfeit win for Ballston Spa.
