NISKAYUNA – Sunday morning traffic on Aqueduct Road will be affected by the 38th Annual Mohawk Hudson River Marathon, which will begin in the vicinity of the community center on Aqueduct.
Runners will be transported to the community center via South Ravine Road and Banker Avenue. After the runners are dropped off buses and cars will leave the center, according to a release on the town of Niskayuna’s website.
People should expect heavier traffic in the area between 7 a.m. and 7:55 a.m. There will be different race-related stations near the center’s pavilion and close to Banker Road, according to the release.
Between 8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. around 750 participants will race along Banker Avenue to Aqueduct Road to the Mohawk Hudson Bike Trail.
Drivers are asked to avoid Aqueduct Road during that time or use extreme caution, as runners will be on the eastbound shoulder of the road.
