Finally, I saw my Philadelphia Eagles win a game for the first time since Week 1. They were awful for three quarters against the Carolina Panthers last Sunday, but somehow pulled out a 21-18 victory. It left my voice hoarse, but I didn’t mind.

I also am celebrating my first good week picking games. I went 13-3 last week to improve to 48-32. I was also one of the VIP winners in the Gazette’s U Pick ’Em contest. Do I win anything for that?

So, will I finally pick my Eagles to win for the first time this season? With Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers coming to Philadelphia for the Thursday night game, not a chance. However, I will be silently cheering at my desk since I’ll be working.

You can play the U Pick ’Em contest by clicking https://dailygazette.com/football/?contestid=3#registration/login.
