Schenectady woman, 40, dies from COVID, county says

A 40-year-old Schenectady woman has died from COVID, according to county officials.

The county did not provide any other information on the death or the woman.

This marks the 174th COVID death in the county, according to county data. There are currently 26 people hospitalized and 315 active cases as of Thursday afternoon. There are 798 people in isolation or quarantine.

So far 98,964, or 63.7%, of county resident have been fully vaccinated.
